About the Author:
Leo Lionni wrote and illustrated more than 40 picture books, He won the ALA Notable Children's , New York Times Best Illustrated Books of the Year and Caldecott Honor Books in 1963. He died in 1999 at the age of 89.

Swimmy was a little fish in the big ocean. When a big fish came along and swallowed up his friends, he was alone and afraid. He was swimming along enjoying the marvels of his undersea world when he came upon another school of fish just like him. Swimmy had to find a way to protect himself and his new friends.
